Terrorism does not happen in the name of God or Allah
A quote from the article that really breaks it down and shows how messed up the world is:
Put a weapon in the hand of a white man who kills 77 people in Norway, and we talk about the lone perpetrator's psyche, how it could go wrong.
Put a gun in the hand of a black man who kills two policemen in New York, and we discuss his skin color and publishes statistics on how blacks are overrepresented in prison.
Put weapons in the hands of three Islamists who commits a heinous deed, killing 12 journalists in Paris, and we talk about their religion.
When the perpetrator is a Muslim he does not apply to the same rules as when he is white.
Gbamo Nigeria!
Here are a few photos from my massive album:
Ps: In church they have something called Thanksgiving, where a few families are welcome to the altar for blessings, our family happened to be one of those (Ma had prepared that) and the procedure is that you dance all the way from the entrance to the altar to traditional music, boy, was that a new experience for me AND if I already caused some attention, this added to that even more! But what a beautiful memory to cherish :)

My 27th
What an amazing birthday I had yesterday! Woke up by my Plutti's singing, gifts, roses and epic sparks :) ♡ Mamma, Pappa and Isabelle came over in the afternoon and celebrated me with song and gifts :) The night was spent at home with my Boo and we had dinner, cake and Champagne - lush! I feel so blessed and loved ♡

The weekend
Yesterday my dear sister and Robin came to us for Saturday dinner and we had such a nice time. After the three course meal we took a taxi to town for some drinks at Tabazco. Woke up today and made some yummy omelette rolls for breakfast and when our guests left Babe and I hit the couch for some Sunday chill. Smooth jazz is playing from the speakers and we will most likely spend the rest of the day here...

All saints
Yesterday was one of those cozy autumn days, I woke up and started cooking dinner straight away since Mormor was coming to visit. I made a slovak stew with Swedish moose that stood on the stove for several hours - turned out very tasty! Before we had dinner Mormor and I went to church to light candles for our loved ones, it was so peaceful at the cemetery with several candles shining in the dark autumn eve. We finished the Sunday with some almond and pumpkin cake.
All in all, a wonderful Sunday that I will cherish in my memory ♡

Sunday
Started with a lovely lie-in and we didn't leave our horizontal positions until 11.30 - super cozy. After a long "breakfast" with conversations covering everything from science to driving cars, I started emptying some boxes with books that now stand proudly in our cabinet :) While I was busy with that, Babe went to work for a couple of hours - devoted engineer ;)
We are now back where we started - horizontal positions, in the sofa this time, watching Premier league.
So long!

Ilon Wikland
On grey autumn days like today one can't help longing for winter and Christmas...
I browsed the web and found some beautiful illustrations by Swedish (born Estonian) illustrator, Ilon Wikland. These images hit me right in the heart and bring back the excitement over Christmas you felt as a kid ♡ Nostalgia deluxe!
