Accepted

Today I got a surprisingly quick answer from one of the schools I've applied for - I got accepted. Big fat YAAAAY! I'll obviously wait to reply since I want to see what the other schools come back with. Either way it's a nice little ego boost.

tiTaay anniversary!

A couple of days ago it was 1 year ago since I met the fabulous tiTaay aka Mel Berry. Happy Anniversary babe. Hope to see you soon :)

Just some pics of the fabulous us haha!

Holy House

Just got back from Church - Mum sang with the choir and it was beautiful :) It was such a long time ago I went on mass in the local church and it was really nice and peaceful. Considering the fact I sang in the childrens/youth choir for 12 years it does feel good to come back on occasions like this.

Bacteria

Woke up this sunny saturday morning with a cold, my throat is burning and my nose is runny. Having a proper pampering session though with VAGABOND travel magazine, coke, snus, and sausages. Later on we'll throw a big piece of meat on the BBQ...yummy!

Summer chic

Love this dress from Temperley London.

Buddha Grooves

Ending my relaxing Friday with my favourite chill out music - Buddha Grooves...the thoughts are flowing and everything feels so peaceful and somehow a bit nostalgic. I have this lust to travel to the far east again, climb a mountain and sit on high altitude watching the sunset.

Waffle Day in Sweden

Mum made super yummy waffles :)

Future

Ok, so things are moving forward concerning my future plans. I have applied for 9 different schools in Sweden (journalism and travel related courses) and I will apply for the school in Santa Barbara as well. Sending out the form for that asap!

Today I started working on a plan B. Plan B's are utterly important for me, even a C plan could come in handy - as all these formal school shit is very unpredictable.

I thought to myself while going through what I have done so far - what was the most memorable journey? Easy answer: CHINA and English teaching! So my plan B is pay for the TESOL course and take it somewhere in the world (China is a favourite) and then start my career as an English teacher again (just more legal work this time haha).

I haven't decided what my Plan C should be yet, have to do some serious thinking.

Whatever happens I'm sure there's a deep meaning behind it.

The Lover

Just finished watching 'The Lover', a movie from the 90's - it was so passionate, sad and brilliant.

Here's what it's about (watch it if you haven't already!):

The Lover (French: L'Amant) is a 1992 drama film produced by Claude Berri and directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud. Based on the semi-autobiographical 1984 novel by Marguerite Duras, the film details the illicit affair between a teenage French girl and a wealthy Chinese man in 1929 Vietnam. In the screenplay written by Annaud and Gérard Brach, the girl's age is changed from 15½ to 17 and is portrayed by actress Jane March, who turned eighteen shortly after filming began.

Afternoon treat

Made myself some Swedish 'Chokladbollar' this afternoon as I had an urge for something sweet.

My new Addition!

My Dad bought me this beautiful clock the other day and I absolutely LOVE it. It has that old school look that I adore - almost like I'm standing on Grand Central in NYC. Thank you Dad!

The Blonde Project

Bought this John Frieda set on Heathrow the day I left London - not sure if I should use them now or wait till I get my highlights done..? It might not have a huge effect on the hair now as it's still quite dark.

Highschool all over again!

Well, not really. But today I went to my old Highschool to pick up my grades that they translated for me so I can send it to the school in California. It felt relly wierd and a bit nostalgic to be there again, 5 years ago since I graduated...and so many memories :)

Creative Day

Sat down after lunch today with my canvases, water colour and Indian Medidation playing on my speakers...such a peaceful day, just what I needed.

Closer to the Moon

Tonight is a special night. It only happens every 19th year that the Moon is this close to the Earth. The landscape outside looks absolutely magical..it's so bright.

Fart alert!

Best comment of the day by my student while sitting on my lap -'Teacher, I just farted!'
A warning would have been nice haha! FYI kid's farts are horribly smelly :P

Granny turns 87!

It's granny's birthday tomorrow but Mum and I went there today to be the first to celebrate :) A lovely couple of hours with blackcurrant wine, coffe, donuts etc.
Love you Granny! <3
